Commercial License
FastBee-Arduino firmware is released under the AGPL-3.0 open-source license, which requires derivative works to be distributed under the same license. If you cannot or do not wish to comply with AGPL-3.0 obligations, you may purchase a commercial license.
Platform License
This page covers the FastBee-Arduino device-side firmware license only. For the FastBee IoT Platform (server-side) commercial license, see Commercial License – Platform.
Personal vs. Commercial Use
Personal users may use this project free of charge, including learning, personal DIY projects, and non-profit experiments.
The following scenarios are considered commercial use and require a commercial license:
- Pre-installing firmware into hardware products for sale
- Using in enterprise projects, commercial products, or paid services
- Delivering as part of an integration solution to clients
- Using firmware in production without disclosing derivative source code

After the 1-year update period, you can renew at 60–70% discount. Users who do not renew may continue using their existing version but will no longer receive updates.

How to Purchase
- Confirm hardware specs — Determine the chip model (ESP32 / ESP32-S3 / ESP32-C3 / ESP32-C6) and estimated volume.
- Contact us — Send company name, contact person, chip model, and volume via WeChat or email.
- Sign agreement — After confirming scope and pricing, both parties sign the commercial license agreement.
- Receive license — After payment, we issue the license certificate and grant repository access.
